Dear colleagues,

I'm thinking of buying the Collins Robert, as a colleague just recommended it.

I'd like a dictionary that is as comprehensive as possible and, considering that both of them are under 100 EURO, they're pretty reasonably priced.

Unfortunately, I've only got a recommendation for the first dictionary and don't really know what the difference is between this one and the second link - Does anyone have any recommendations. I suspect, based on the price, that the second one is more comprehensive, but I'd kind of like some confirmation on that ...

Robert-Collins Dictionary Oct 26, 2004

The Robert-Collins are good dictionaries. The English part is based on the Bank of English corpus. You'll want the most comprehensive one. Based on the cost and the name I think it is probably this one.

Désolée d'écrire en fr., mais je suis trop fatiguée pour écrire en anglais.

J'ai la version papier du Robert-Collins qui n'est pas mal pour le language général, mais je le trouve si encombrant que je ne m'en sers presque jamais.

Je connaissais l'Eurodicautom et le GDT mais pas les deux autres qui sont très pratiques.
