(edited) I want to share my experience with a localization agency to help fellow freelancers make informed decisions. I have been working with a Malaysia-based localization agency as an Urdu and Punjabi translator for the past two years. Unfortunately, throughout our collaboration, timely payments have been a recurring issue. While payments have often been delayed, the current situation is by far the worst. As of today, I have approximately USD 600 in unpaid invoices that have been outstanding for more than six to seven months. Over the past several months, I have sent numerous follow-up emails to the finance team requesting an update on my payment. Unfortunately, I have received little to no response. What makes this even more frustrating is that the agency responds promptly whenever they have a new project or need clarification during an ongoing assignment. However, once a project is delivered and payment becomes due, communication virtually stops. I'm sharing this experience not to attack anyone, but to raise awareness within the freelance translation and localization community. Before accepting work from any agency, please do your due diligence and research their payment history. Below, I will share the agency's details and the email addresses I have been communicating with so that others can make informed decisions. If you have had a similar experience with this agency, I encourage you to share it in the comments. By sharing our experiences, we can help protect one another and promote fair treatment of freelancers. #Freelancing #Localization #Translation #UrduTranslator #PunjabiTranslator #FreelanceLife #PaymentDelay #TranslationCommunity

(edited) I delivered this morning an MTPE project from Spanish to French concerning two Bachelor's Degrees in medicine.
Just finished two new EN > PT-PT technical translation projects for Saltlux, totalling 1,220 net words. Both projects involve user manuals for home appliances, further strengthening my growing experience in consumer electronics and appliance documentation. The work requires precise terminology, clear safety instructions, consistent technical language and natural European Portuguese that remains accessible to the end user. Each new assignment adds to my practical experience in technical translation, product documentation, user instructions and international brand localisation — fields in which accuracy, consistency and usability are non-negotiable.
