*.fm file - Can I open & translate it not using Frame Maker?

I have a small fm-file to be translated. So far I haven't worked with Frame Maker though planning to install and learn it.

Is there any way to open it and translate while I still do not have Frame Maker installed? May be some software to convert it into another file type or software able to display it correctly.

No, only if it were in *.mif format

The only way to work with Framemaker files is to get them in MIF (Maker Interchange Format). Then you can use Trados to process them.

But AFAIK you cannot open a fm file without Framemaker.
Possibly someone knows a way for that, but I don't.

The only way to work with your FrameMaker files is to get them converted in MIF format, so you can use them with Trados.

I searched the Internet and found the same answers. So I had to purchase FrameMaker and install it and finally my file is translated.
