Free antivirus programe

Oy!
I am searching for free antivirus programme, downloadable from the internet. Till now, i found some but it says FREE only on initial page. What do you suggest?

This gives you a detailed overview of which features are included in the free version. I would say
Avast just about qualifies as "still mostly freeware after all these years" accordingly as the paid-only features
- Avoid fake and unsafe websites.
- Be alerted to potentially suspicious emails.

may not be deemed absolutely mandatory for safely operating a computer -- as long as you take care and run some good freeware firewall in addition. The only one I personally know is https://www.zonealarm.com/software/free-firewall

Also, the paid version of Avast is cheaper than competitors in the same upper-to-top-end-of-the-market performance class.

Microsoft Defender May 24

Windows 11 and 10 come with Microsoft Defender pre-installed. It's just as good as any third-party antivirus software.
