Bio
I am a translator from Brazil, based in Amsterdam.
At the moment I follow a postgraduate course of Translation (English > Portuguese). I hold two master's diplomas in Visual Arts, and a postgraduate degree in Art History. For many years I have been busy reading academic books, texts and articles, and I had not much time for literature. In 2017, my partner brought home a copy of the Portuguese translation of Robinson Crusoe, and that was it: I fell in love with the power and magic of fiction!
My working experience abroad includes the cultural sector, hospitality industry and retail.
The experiences I had in these varied fields offered me the opportunity to communicate in English, French, and Dutch on a daily basis - in a direct exchange with native speakers.
