expanded or excess consumption Explanation: No more than an educated guess. Perhaps a few more lines before and after the source text might give us a better idea. |

coincident demand Explanation: Me and electricity are worlds apart, except when I accidentally touch a live wire, that is, but my notes from way back in the 80s, long before the Ouèbbhe came along, suggest: "Puissance foisonnée - Maximum demand required (installed load plus)", if that gives any clue. Now, with the linguistic world at our fingertips, I find (see image below): "Coincident demand. The sum of the demands for the same time period. Sometimes also called the simultaneous demand or the diversified demand. The use of the word “diversified” here refers to the fact that the measurements are taken when the various loads are at different percentages of the peak value. For example, we might say, “The 15-minute coincident demand seen at substation X for the period 9-9:15 am was 300 kW.” https://home.engineering.iastate.edu/~jdm/ee455/notes3_loadm... "Coincident Demand:The sum of two or more demands that occur in the same demand interval." https://neo.ne.gov/info/pubs/reports/LR455Final/glossary.htm... "Coincident demand: the simultaneous demands of a group of appliances or customers taken as a whole. Diversified demands may be determined by direct measurement or by the addition of the load curves of the individual appliances or customers in the group, also referred to as coincident demand or group demand." https://help.energytoolbase.com/hc/en-us/articles/3600544440... -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 38 mins (2023-12-19 16:45:13 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- |
