Page 9 on the ducument (13 of 201) has some images that indicate the 'bocas' and 'barras' - the 'barras' being baymouth bars and the 'bocas' being the inlets that allow the flow of water between the sea and the lagoon.

There's also this about a 'barra be boca' where the 'boca' refers to the opening of the bay rather than openings in the 'barra'.

From what I have read, the 'bocabarra' term could refer to the whole baymouth bar and it's openings which cover the opening of the lagoon, or it may just be the openings in the bar themselves - that's why I have put a low confidence level (but if it was the openings alone, then I would have thought that these would just be called 'bocas').
