French term

l'autonomisation et des temporalités

French to English Social Sciences Government / Politics administration
Below is a paragraph from explanations on public administration. I'm interested to know how to transpose the above term (which is not in my pocket dictionary!) as neither is the next term with respect to timing, I would imagine.

Discussion

Lisa Rosengard (asker) Jun 28, 2021:
Lisa Rosengard (asker) Jun 28, 2021:
a process of becoming independent I think it's a process by which a group of people become independent, and in so doing the group begins to gain an authority . The temporary character could be an unspecified time period of change.
"Political power is in place while public administration continues. There are differing time scales. Public administration is not going to stop or discontinue in its functions in the event of political or governmental changes. There are forms or ways to bring about a process by which a group becomes independent, and begins to gain some authority amid unspecified time phases, to enable knowledge of undefined time scales of choices and the permanent or long-term qualities of public administration.

empowement and perceptions of time

In philosophy, temporality is traditionally the linear progression of past, present, and future. However, some modern-century philosophers have interpreted temporality in ways other than this linear manner. Examples would be McTaggart's The Unreality of Time, Husserl's analysis of internal time consciousness, Martin Heidegger's Being and Time (1927), George Herbert Mead's Philosophy of the Present (1932), and Jacques Derrida's criticisms of Husserl's analysis, as well as Nietzsche's eternal return of the same, though this latter pertains more to historicity, to which temporality gives rise.

In social sciences, temporality is also studied with respect to human's perception of time and the social organization of time.[1] The perception of time undergoes significant change in the three hundred years between the Middle Ages and Mod

Peer comment(s):

agree Nikki Scott-Despaigne : Good suggestions, both being overused in English as are "autonomisation" and "temporalité" in French administrative contexts. "Temporalité" can sometimes be translated usefully as "timeframe".
