El único contexto para brindar es que se trata de un abstract, en la parte de resultados, y la oración es "El X% de los pacientes logró algún tipo de marcha, el X% logró marcha independiente..."
Entiendo que marcha sería Gait. Mi consulta sería más por el verbo que acompaña.

Another option. I think this differentiates between the percentage of people who could walk at all, presumably with assistance, and those who could walk without any assistance, walkers, crutches, etc.

Gait: A manner of walking. Observation of gait can provide early diagnostic clues for a number of disorders, including cerebral palsy, Parkinson's disease, and Rett syndrome.
