Hi everyone,
Just wanted to pick your brains as to the possible verb that should have been used instead of the typo above.
Here's the context:
No debió gustar a la Corte de Viena que, en un capítulo de la obra, se establerciese un paralelismo entre Catalina y la emperatriz Elisabeth (Sisi). En efecto, en 1948, Bartolomé Ferrá Juan apunta en su El Archiduque errante Luis Salvador de Austria en nota a pié de la p. 129: “Este paralelo entre la Emperatriz y la favorita del Archiduque desplugó [sic] a la Corte de Viena, por lo que el Archiduque retiró la edición”.
From exhibition panels on Archduke Ludwig Salvator, discussing the reasons why no copies of a particular work by the Archduke can't be found anywhere (it seems the main part of the print run was destroyed due to offence caused by the paragraph mentioned above).
As you can see, the "desplugó" is acknowledged as a typo, but - and maybe I'm just being dense today - I don't know what he wanted to say. Any ideas what verb this was meant to be?
