Russian term

всухомятку

Russian to English Marketing Food & Drink
Во время спонтанных перекусов во рту просто не успевает образоваться достаточное количество слюны.
Поэтому так важно не есть всухомятку и стараться находить время для полноценных приемов пищи.

Yandex says cold food but Russian guy says dry foods. Please only answer if you really know! Thanks in advance.

without anything to drink

Surely that. Not quite sure where the cold food variant is coming from, really.

neutral Victoria Batarchuk : Maxim, if we eat soup (without anything to drink), is it "всухомятку"?

dry food

If we choose between DRY and COLD, I think, "dry food" is more correct, as there are some arguments against "cold food". Let's look at
- hot dog --- is not cold, but is dry, and definitely associated with "есть всухомятку";
- okroshka (Russian cold soup) --- is a kind of cold food, but it is not "еда всухомятку".

without any liquids

as opposed to "dry food". I.e. say, sausage or smoked salmon cannot be called "dry food" and yet eating sausage or smoked salmon sanwich without washing them down, is eating всухомятку.
