Лечится нерегулярно, в последнее время принимает ситуационно фозиноприл, ацетилсалициловую кислоту.

I can see roughly what it means.
Perhaps there is a specific way of rendering this that I haven't thought of.

Well, "taking a prescribed medicine as needed" is frequently the case, but from what I've read about Fosinopril I just doubt that Fosinopril can be prescribed anything like "take it when you feel you need it".

For whatever it's worth: In the US some meds are prescribed and taken "as needed" (with limits—up to 3 times daily, as needed, for example)
