praline

Pralines were originally (and still are in French) sugared almonds.

"Pralinato" ("praliné" in French) is a powdered nuts (typically almonds) and sugar-based confection used in desserts or chocolates as a filling, topping and so on.

Like French, Italian distinguishes between "pralinato" syrup or cream and "praline" (singular "pralina") chocolates or biscuits whereas English tends to use "praline" to refer to either.

This version is a "crunchy pistachio praline".
