If you want to see the results of a long term forward looking company, look at X. If you want to see the results of a quarter to quarter company look at Y or Z

: Effectivement.

As stated in the past, we are not a quarter to quarter company. The timing of order placement can have a major swing effect on period to period results...

Of the US$5.2 million increase... US$1.8 represents payments received in the first quarter of this year, whereas similar payments in the prior year were received in the second quarter of 2002... the relatively small rate of organic growth of commission income includes a number of timing issues, including a US$1.9 million shift of revenue from the first quarter to subsequent quarters... Canada's organic growth of revenue for the quarter was unusually strong at 20%... The 2002 results included a one-time gain of US$2.6 million... "Although we are quite pleased with first quarter results, Hub is not a quarter-to-quarter company," Hughes noted... second quarter results will be subject to the following timing issues...

We should not be considered a quarter-to-quarter company when our backlog is 100 percent short-term and a single overlapping order accounts for nearly 40 percent of the total.''

"We're not a quarter-to-quarter company," he says. "We're not afraid to take three steps back in order to take nine steps forward."

Discussion
But XX management insists that the stock price volatility is simply the nature of the business. [...] And he has himself told investors that the stock is not for those looking for quick, consistent, predictable gains. "This is not a quarter-to-quarter company," he told fund managers [...] Long-term, the company is getting stronger and stronger and stronger."
