Prejudice No doubt about that, both Mexican and USA. But we do use "amparado" also, it's good.

Henry, you have a Mexican prejudice :D :D against the use of "amparar" or "amparado." In Chile and most LatAm countries, we use this verb to mean "covered by," "under the umbrella of," "as provided in," etc.

Google it out, Henry :)) I did, and found out that it is a British idiom!
I gave several examples in my own answer, but then I decided to hide it becaused I had wrongly assumed the same as you (failed to be).

Gracias x el contexto Si efectivamente creo que se trata de un amparo otorgado por la póliza en el sentido de que si una reclamación no es atendida como debe ser, entonces los aseguradores deberán resarcir los costos y gastos en que incurra el asegurado. Pero la idea de "amparo" no cabe en el mismo término que pides.

MÁS CLARO Más claro no sé cómo decírtelo, Sergio. Cuando afirmas "dice FALLS TO BE DEALT WITH .... no dice FAILS TO BE DEALT WITH", pues te lo creo, no tengo por qué dudarlo. Es que existe un error en el texto, tu deber es señalarlo y ofrecer la corrección que viene siendo la respuesta que te di, pues insisto, "FALLS TO BE DEALT WITH" NO TIENE SENTIDO y mucho menos quiere decir "amparado por esta póliza" como asevera la compañera.

Ayudo lo que puedo no más, a nadie le puedo obligar.

COSTS AND EXPENSES

A mi me parece que en este caso no se trata de un error de tipeo y que efectivamente corresponde a un amparo otorgado por la póliza.... es de alguna manera algo frecuente que la redacción de las pólizas de seguros inglesas incluyan frases que no son muy comunes.

Falls/fails Creo que habría que tener cuidado y analizar bien el contexto. 'Fails to be' es una estructura mucho más frecuente, o sino directamente 'falls under'.

FALLS Sergio, "FALLS TO BE DEALT WITH" no tiene sentido, sin duda se trata de un pequeño error muy fácil de cometer, sea inglés británico o de donde sea, tiene que ser "FAILS", no hay otra.

Henry: Sergio aclaró que no se trata de un typo ni de algún error de tipo OCR. No se trata de "FAILS to be dealt with" sino de "FALLS to be dealt with". Te invito a mirar el hilo de disusión.:)
