Japanese term or phrase: 決算の早期化
This term refers to the tendency to close accounts earlier at the end or a financial year, which has been seen in Japan with the introduction of quater-based financial reporting in the late '90s. "決算” in Japanese itself comes in really handy and there's no equivalent in English that is as handy. If there's anybody who know the equivalent of this term, your help is appreciated.

I'm not 100% sure on this one and I have had trouble with 決算 in the past as well. This is just my opinion, anyone have any thoughts?

I used this one as "earlier" seemed to reflct the nuance of "早期化” most appropriately. Thank you.

早期化を一語で訳すことは必ずしも必要ないと思います。
ここで言う早期化とは、会計期間の短縮ではなく、決算作業時間の短縮と解釈します。

Explanation:
Timely disclosure of settlement reports

Or maybe Meko-san is talking about 決算短信, “Tanshin.”

While further context is required, I think I’ll have to go further than just giving a translation phrase.

Traditionally the Japanese settlement reports have hardly been considered to be either handy or timely, because they come almost two months after the closing days of the account settlements and are voluminous.

One of the solutions that TSE (Tokyo Stock Exchange) came up with to satisfy the demand mainly from the news media for timely and handy reports is 決算短信, or a brief announcement of the most recent financial statement following the end of the fiscal year. Now quarterly/semi-annual 短信 is widely available.

Meko-san seems to be talking about this 短信. Many listed companies translate the term 決算短信 into “Tanshin, ” because there seems to be no equivalent abroad—Google gives you very many “Tanshin-s.”

Asker: Kokuritsu-san, thank you for your comment, but I am not talking about "短信" in particular, though as you mentioned, "短信" has widely become available in response to "決算の早期化".
