Source text - English Chess has an established history that can be studied, and it has rules, and it allows for a draw. Our worst adversaries are those who play by no rules, but who instead specialize in understanding the rules by which we play in order to evade, exploit or contravene them. This is asymmetric warfare and we are proving to be very bad at it, although we should have an aptitude for it given our country’s history, its tradition of rebellion, and given the composition and values of our society – but that is a matter for a different book.

Bio
As an English to French freelance translator, I master the following tasks to satisfy customers' needs :
- translating technical documents from English to accurate French in different fields: general, literature, companies' correspondence (letters, order forms, cost estimates, invoices), business/marketing (commercial brochures, flyers, estimates, sales,...), tourism (travel guides, communication campaigns, flyers, mailing...), media (press articles), fashion, teaching (tutorial documents), cooking (recipes, ...)
- devoting time to research in terminology
- complying with deadlines.
After graduating at University in English (Bachelor's Degree in English/ Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English), I entered the world of work as a Personal Assistant and English trainer.
This company I worked for was specialized in manufacturing car compressors; I was in charge of translating all the technical documents designed for French employees (list of the different tasks to perform in their position, machines manual guides, security guides). I also achieved translating all kinds of internal and commercial documents (company's brochures...) into French.
In 2007, I started working for a business school as an English trainer. As part of my students' final examinations, I had to get them trained in understanding and translating documents in accordance with their speciality (Accountancy and Management, Communication and Advertising, Marketing, Sales, Tourism).
I've had a strong bilingual educational and professional experience. I can also show strong ADAPTABILITY to my customers' requirements for I've known the world of work for 14 years now.
Therefore I've acquired professionalism and I've sharpened my skills in translation all through these years.
As a freelance translator English to French since September 2014, I have translated many documents : politics-related books, articles, brochures, testimonies, leaflets...I offer competitive prices for high-quality work. My strength is to meet my customers' requirements in terms of deadlines and quality.
