English to Russian: Excerpt from the WHO's Global TB report 2013 General field: Medical Detailed field: Medical (general)
Source text - English New TB diagnostics, medicines and vaccines are crucial to end the global TB epidemic.
• More than 50 companies are involved in development of new diagnostic tests.
• 10 new or repurposed TB drugs are in late phases of clinical development. In late 2012, bedaquiline became the first novel TB drug approved in 40 years. In June 2013, WHO issued interim guidance for its use in treatment of MDR-TB.
• There are 10 vaccines for TB prevention and two immunotherapeutic vaccines in the pipeline. In early 2013, results from a Phase IIb proof-of-concept study of one of the preventive vaccine candidates were published. While efficacy was not superior to the Bacille-Calmette-Guérin (BCG) vaccine alone, the study demonstrated that a trial of a novel TB vaccine is feasible in a high TB burden setting.
• Short, effective and well-tolerated treatments for latent TB infection, a point-of-care diagnostic test, and an effective post-exposure vaccine are needed to help end the global TB epidemic.
Translation - Russian

Source text - English Possible side-effects occur mainly at the beginning of the treatment and include nausea, diarrhoea, muscular pain and headache. The person taking the treatment should be informed that these may occur and should be dissuaded from stopping the treatment as most side-effects are mild and transient, though possibly uncomfortable. Drugs for adverse effects should be administered if necessary to secure adherence. Anaemia and/or leucopoenia and/or thrombocytopenia may occur during the month of treatment.
In the long term, the side-effects of this treatment are not yet fully known. Data on carcinogenic effects, fertility, spermatogenesis and teratogenesis are still lacking.

Source text - English PREGNANCY AND LACTATION
Pregnancy
No mutagenic activity was detected in the Ames test and in cytogenic tests in patients treated with [●]. No teratogenic effect was observed in rabbits or rats given clofazimine doses 8 and 25 times the usual human dose, respectively. However, with doses 12 to 25 times those given to humans, retardation of fetal skull ossification and fetotoxicity were observed in mice.
Experience with [●] in pregnancy is limited. [●] crosses the placenta, and skin discoloration in neonates has been observed.
[●] should be used during pregnancy only if the potential benefit justifies the risk to the fetus. Since [●] is exacerbated during pregnancy, the WHO recommends that treatment with [●] should be continued during pregnancy.
Lactation
[●] passes into the breast milk, and skin discoloration may occur in the infant. [●] should be administered to a breast-feeding woman only if clearly indicated.
Translation - Russian
