Language pair:Italian to English
Definition / notes:These rocks, often referred to as massi coppelati, massi cupellari or pietre a scodella (https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coppella) are large flat boulders with round egg-sized indentations, probably made by people in the mesolithic or neolithic era and into the bronze age.
The carving also often has a "ring" element. Such masses are found throughout Europe, but especially in the UK, Ireland, Italy and Spain.
