Swedish term

valvavstängare

Swedish to English Tech/Engineering Mechanics / Mech Engineering
"valvavstängare" = ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

It's apparently something to do with concrete, but I haven't the foggiest iota what it is called in English.

Thus far, my research has yielded only a thick wall of monolingual references/descriptions/etc.

Thank you for your time.

Well, this is what the Swe says. Here's a document that has both your term and my suggestion in it. Should be a good read!

You're right, there... my bad. Apologies... will be looking some more.
Note from asker:
Many thanks for answering. However, the only support I can find for the term "arch shut-off" is a page at patents.google.com, which in my experience is simply not a reliable site: it seems to make heavy use of automatic machine translation or other unreliable mechanisms. Do you have another source that independently supports the translation "arch shut-off"? (You referred to a document above, but I don't see any link.)
