Spanish term

C.L.S

Spanish to English Law/Patents Law (general) C.L.S
Buenas tardes, colegas.

Saludos.

Hello Philgoddard and Lorena! Thank you so much for your comments. This document is very similar to the ones you are posting (but the minor is not from Haiti but from Romania and they are twins). I think you may be right, maybe they are referring to the parties' initials.

lorenab23 I don't know whether you saw my post, but I said the same thing. The document itself is online, though your links provide additional evidence.

No, LS is not the child's initials. Her initials are RPC, as shown in the second line, and it says on page 2 that she adopted C as her surname. Maybe it's the birth parent.

Hi Andrea It looks like it may be initials of the party/parties involved. I have found similar entries, please see:
Tribunal Colegiado de Familia Nº 5 de Rosario, 29/02/2008 R., d. a v Ch, G. L,
Tribunal Colegiado de Familia Nº 5 de Rosario, 09/06/2008, Partes: L., V. C. c. A., M. A.

It's actually C., L.S., not C.L.S.
C. is the initial of the adopter's surname, and L.S. could be the child's name. The document is here:

It's the parties' initials

See the discussion box. It's "C, LS" rather than "CLS". The C is the adoptive mother, and I suspect the LS is the birth mother. Either way, you should just reproduce it in your translation.
