cattail? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Typha

Typha /ˈtaɪfə/ is a genus of about 30 species of monocotyledonous flowering plants in the family Typhaceae. These plants have a variety of common names, in British English as bulrush or reedmace,[2] in American English as reed, cattail,[3] swamp sausage, or punks, in Australia as cumbungi or bulrush, in Canada as bulrush or cattail, and in New Zealand as raupō. Other taxa of plants may be known as bulrush, including some sedges in Scirpus and related genera.

In school we would paint the seed mass, and the Shoshoni here ate the roots,(to me they tast like MUDD) we also ate tumblweed mustar, button weeds and wove table mats out of the leaves, have to keep them wet to not dry out too quci..

cat tails ? Pues en La Cruz de GTe, C.R. y Idaho, llamaban tule (tullee?) a que ahora muchos dicen Cat Tails, tiene una hoja de 5 ,6 pies y de ancho una pulgada. Probably tule could mean several plants.

So you have a list of captions without pictures?
In that case, could you please tell us who the artist is?
Wendy Gosselin (asker) Aug 15, 2019:
It's a caption, so there is no more context, just an item on a list. Sorry!
philgoddard Aug 15, 2019:
Hi Wendy Could you give us a little more context, please? Is this a single-word title, or part of a sentence? Why do you think it's wicker? And, as I've suggested before, why don't you show us the work so we can make up our minds?

neutral philgoddard : I don't think it's a tree, and your references don't support this.
