(sheriffs sale is PAST History, no longer relevant perhaps. Process may vary as known by term Sheriffs Sale, title to car can be issued by Sheriffs Title under certain circumstances. quote from webiste....Once your vehicle has been repossessed, your creditor may decide to either keep it as compensation for your debt or resell it in a public or private sale. In some states, your creditor must let you know what will happen to the car. For example, if the car will be sold at public auction, state law may require that the creditor tell you the time and place of the sale so that you can attend and participate in the bidding. If the vehicle will be sold privately, you may have a right to know the date of the sale. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 hr (2021-11-07 23:45:15 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- ??public repossession? taken back land Publicly sold, that is unwilling ,,,,willing agreement with seller is not as likely to happen, I am curious to know the answer, too Example sentence(s):
