Can you provide more information so that we can give you better suggestions that can be used in the specific context? For example, in the phrase "かたちのないxx," what is xx?

intangible; insubstantial; abstract; ambiguous

Besides the literal meaning, かたちのないcan be interpreted in many different ways depending on the context.

For example:
無形 -> intangible, etc.
実体のない -> insubstantial; unsubstantial, etc.
具体的でない (= 抽象的) -> nonspecific; abstract; undefined, etc.
あいまい-> ambiguous; uncertain; unclear, etc.
Peer comment(s):

agree Lincoln Hui : Based on what little the asker gave, intangible is by far the most likely.

shapeless

A bit more context would be useful, but when searching through Japanese dictionaries to confirm, I only found this phrase to mean "something without shape" or "shapeless". If you have かたちのないこと or 形のない事, then this means "the condition of being shapeless". If you post the whole sentence it is in as a discussion I am willing to double check this answer is correct for you and tell you in the discussion or update this answer.

amorphous, formless

Could you please be more specific about the context: what kind of contest is this?
