Italian term

riproducente

Italian to English Medical Medical: Health Care Hip replacement
From a post-surgery report from a hip replacement:

Dopo osteotomia della testa femorale, e' comparsa protesi cefalica riproducente la calotta stessa infissa nel collo unica vite metallica.

The sentence itself is not clear to me, and I reproduced it here exactly as in the source, but the term escapes me the most is riproducente.

Discussion

Aleyna Tusa (asker) Oct 26, 2012:
I agree that something is missing, which adds to my frustration, but what I wrote here is exactly as it is in the source.
Linda 969 Oct 25, 2012:
Agree with texjax Plus a word seems to be missing between "nel collo" and "unica"
texjax DDS PhD Oct 25, 2012:
È comparsa? The "protesi cefalica" does not "appear". Something doesn't quite add up.
