major amendment
This would seem to be the term used for big amendments in English. Googles well:

(mass) amendment
There is no distinction in the UK between small and large amendments. However, since a maxiemendamento involves the introduction or amendment of large amounts of legislation, it might be worth qualifying it with "mass" if your context allows.
Discussion
Depending on the context, it might be an idea to underline the plurality of the measures concerned by talking about "a major set/package/series of amendments".
