German term

lebenswahr

German to English Art/Literary Poetry & Literature Shakespeare quotation
I actually need to find out which act and scene this comes from, in Shakespeare's works. Then I can look it up in my copy of "The Complete Works". I have found the original of four of these quotations but cannot trace this one:

Wenn man das lebenswahr spielt, werden die Tränen strömen, Kollegen. Ich will Stürme entfesseln und sie mit Wehklagen mischen.

(Hope that has cheered you all up).

I don't know which Shakespeare translation this comes from, but I don't think it is the Wieland one.

Any help much appreciated.

A Midsummer Night's Dream, 1.2
Who else but Bottom? ;-)
Peer comment(s):

agree Jane Luther : This would certainly seem to be it. You must know your Shakespeare well to come up with the answer in 14 minutes! I must say I prefer the English to the German...
