German term

Abstoß

German to English Tech/Engineering Mining & Minerals / Gems Salt processing
Hi folks,

I'm not sure what to make of "Abstoss" in the following phrases. The text relates to plant used for processing and storing salt:

I can't quite make anything useful out of it with "repel" / "repulsion" or variants - can anyone assist with an established term in English usage, please?

Without more context, I can't be sure.
Note from asker:
Thanks - it's the only context I have, unfortunately.

waste

I cannot find any references that use it this way, but in your context, might this be an option?
