Salt processing
Hi folks,
I'm not sure what to make of "Abstoss" in the following phrases. The text relates to plant used for processing and storing salt:
I can't quite make anything useful out of it with "repel" / "repulsion" or variants - can anyone assist with an established term in English usage, please?

Comment: "I'm still somewhat in the dark about this, but ultimately went with "discharge" as sounding most appropriate in the various contexts. Thanks to everyone who responded."

Without more context, I can't be sure.

I cannot find any references that use it this way, but in your context, might this be an option?
