German term
Diakonissenanstalt
German to English
Medical
Medical: Health Care
Name of facility
From a physician's VC:
Tätigkeit als Assistenzart in der Kinderklinik der Krankenanstalten Sarepta/Bethel
I don't know if I can simply call it a hospital. On the web it is referred to as Diakonissenanstalt. But I don't want to put more in the name than there is in the CV.

If it's not in the CV...
Trudy, just a note -- if the original CV does not make reference to Diakonissenanstalt, then I would not put it into the translation, even if it is referred to as such on the web. You really don't want to add anything into a CV that the author did not put there in the first place - at least that's my opinion.
If it is in the CV, I'd be inclined to treat it as a proper name and leave it untranslated, maybe with a translation in parens. Just my 2 cents' worth...

In my home town, the Diakonissenanstalt was in fact a hospital. But Bethel is more, even though a hospital is one of the institutions at Bethel.
I did a very quick Google on Sarepta/Bethel and found that Sarepta is the name of the order (didn\'t know that - did know about Bethel, my parents regularly donated money to Bethel).
Maybe it would work if you left Krankenanstalten Sarepta/Bethel in German - the fact that it is a hospital should be evident from the pediatric clinic... :-)

If you check out http://www.diak-stuttgart.de/ you see that it is more than a hospital. I would therefore also use Ulrike\'s suggestion

Mazbe you can try with medical center like here:
www.bidmc.harvard.edu/sites/bidmc/home.asp

Krankenanstalten (Health Centre/Center)
Basically I am with Ulrike (s. there); if it's not in the CV don't add it.
The name "Diakonissenanstalt" goes back to a rather dated tradition and in the specific case it may be hardly appropriate for describing what goes on there (i.e. predominantly non-clerical staff, paid secular nurses).
If I were you, I would phrase it thus:
Pediatric Clinic of the Krankenanstalten Sarepta/Bethel (Sarepta/Bethel Health Center)
Incidentally, it appears that Sarepta is the name of the Bethel branch in Bielefeld.

Hospital comes short IMO, as a large number of therapeutic facilities are found there.
