Bengal lights/matches

These emit brightly coloured flames are not exactly fireworks, but are often classed together with them for safety reasons.

Bengal flare

As the name implies, a 'Fackel' burns for more than a few seconds (sparkler).

"FLARE: A firework that creates a bright light, normally for some time. These can vary from Bengal Flares which are ground based and create an intense flame (as opposed to a shower of sparks which is a fountain)..." (Ref 1)

Also used for signalling purposes (Ref 2)
