To my mind talking of displaying them is perhaps taking it a bit too far - the talk is of "integrieren", which to me says that you don't need to be ashamed of them but neither do they want to be exactly prominent.
I'd avoid anything to do with lounge or living room as neither term has the "for special use only" implications of a gute Stube, so the reference misses the point. Hence my suggestion of something fairly middle of the road.
