I'm translating a list of services for a small hairdressing salon which is part of a private clinic. After listing their services they list Friktion as follows:

Festiger CHF 5.— Friktion CHF 8.—
Balsam CHF 6.— Maske CHF 10.—

I'm not too sure about Festiger either - surely not setting lotion?

Festiger off the top of my head, is indeed "setting lotion" (the kind put on the hair before rolling up the curlers), but I have a feeling that it can also refer to gel, wax, and other "fixers". A visit to an appropriate cosmetic product site might help. Sorry I cannot do it for you. :) Many Afro hairdos need "fixers" to work.
