Befindet sich das Fahrzeug im Ruhezustand, das heißt keine oder eingeschränkte LIN-Bus Kommunikation, so hat das VTS bei Erkennung eines Alarmevents oder im Diebstahlfall die Möglichkeit den LIN-Bus zu wecken und Informationen vom LIN-Master anzufordern.

Befindet sich das VTS im Diebstahlfall (Bestätigung des Alarmfalles durch den Serviceprovider/Kunden) so hat das VTS die Möglichkeit ein Starten des Fahrzeuges zu verhindern...

As opposed to presumed/possible theft (i.e. alarm condition), which from your clarification is a different condition. So one could say " in case of a verified theft ..." Regards.

Yes, "event" suits the character of an ongoing process better than "case" which sounds closed.
