Estoy traduciendo un informe médico sobre una paciente con cáncer de colon y aparece la siguiente frase:

À 10 cm de la tranche de section colique, il existe une volumineuse tumeur ulcéronécrotique.

Tengo dudas con la traducción del término "tranche". ¿Alguna sugerencia?

agree  abe(L)solano: Redactado de esa forma en francés parece que sea un corte de tejido, efectivamente. Lo que no me queda claro es lo de 10 cm de distancia entre el corte y la lesión. ¿Porqué no hicieron biopsia tumoral entonces? o estará en otra parte del informe.
