Hello everyone,
I'm translating a document for an oil company that deals with the procedure for requesting modifications on existing facilities. I'm having a hard time translating "technique sur l’ingénierie en AFC" in the phrase below (AFC = Approved for Construction); I also included the previous sentence (i.e. the first two sentences of this section):
3.5.5 Validation technique
I've been playing around with this sentence for quite a while and am not coming up with much (nor can I confirm my "best guesses" anywhere). Maybe "This validation step is essentially technical for the AFC engineering" ?? I would greatly appreciate any help with this!
Thanks in advance and kind regards,
Sara

technical assessment of the engineering in the AFC context
(I nearly agree with Chris but I would put it a different way.) I think it means that the engineering work (for the modification) that has been AFC will be assessed to check that it meets the operator's and the site's requirements.
