I am translating multiple medical reports of a patient, this part deals with ultrasound evaluation of left ventricular ejection fraction. In the following - S. mitrale (Intg. t-V); 2.9 cm2, I am not sure what the S stands for - S wave?

There is another entry for the aortic valve which uses "Surf", I did originally use surface area for this term as well, but wondered as I would have expected them to use the same abbreviation both times

Assuming that (Intg. t-V) is the velocity-time integral, I don't see what else S could be – although I have no good idea how to derive "orifice area" from "S".
