French term (edited):
mettre qqn. en dessous; je vous mets en dessous
take s.o. down; now to take your sort down a peg
> rather than to stick somone in underwear and possibly to contrast with : 'ça c'était j'ai vraiment trouvé ça *top*...'
je #vous# mets en dessous, maintenant vous allez me dire oui: I'm going to take you #your sort# down/ a peg (put you on the spot : under pressure). Now you are going to agree with me...
The expression of 'Être dans le ou au trente-sixième dessous' in the first web ref. seems only tangentially related to a 'downer'.
Now to wait for native French readers to add their choice (post-Euro match) comments....
Otherwise, this A1 learning seems to cover a broad range of categories, including banking - here, Science - Environment & Ecology.

Tony M
: Doesn't make sense: in your examples, there is always a direct object; whereas in the sentence given, the direct object nonsensically appears to be 'vous', whence the puzzlement.

Think, please, fundamental colloquial and elliptical. The examples servent only to bring up the idea.

But, please, read my answer to Tony and think a lot. It doesn't interest what is written but what is in mind.

Discussion
The text is about recycling, it's in the style of what the French State does when it tries to explain things to us as if we were 10-year-olds.
It's not particularly well written, but there you go.
The clue, as you yourself would say, is "Ecology" – recycling.
Yet this kind of thing is needed – my neighbours follow recycling rules as if they were 10-year-olds!
As part of the longer dialogue from which it was extracted - OR as part of a movie with the added "visual context" - it surely makes perfect sense.
Limited as it is, it contains about as much "meaningful information" as an ink blot.
52 words and still a total mystery - that might be some kind of record?
Then "je vous mets en dessous" sounds like verbal abuse, "vous allez me dire oui" is coercion, and well, it's all a bit scary.
AI comes in very handy on a daily basis, but good luck to it on this kind of thing.
But if you read it again, ignoring a few bits, possibly, from a serial killer/abusive partner point of view, it's quite disturbing!
(Some of Verity's previous posts were about relationships, if I remember correctly.)
1 - a case of turkeys voting for Christmas / translators cutting off the branch they're sitting on (from the wrong side)
2 - on its own it's too ambiguous (= meaningless), so no "Intelligence" (Artificial or of any other imaginable variety) will "learn" anything useful from what will inevitably be only pure guesswork.
If the creators of AI imagine they will improve AI this way, the reports of human translation being dead have been grossly exaggerated / premature.
