cage-style pulley

I think that 'slatted' (https://www.drcrollers.com.au/australian-conveyor-pulleys) risks confusion with the 'winged' variety featuring metal plates radiating from the centre.

From a mechanical point of view, the most important notion to convey is that the pulley is open (and debris can fall through it easily.

Spurred on by writeaway's "neutral" on Liz's question I followed up that 2nd link of hers (and looked at the English version of this page: language choice at top right of page): https://luetgert-antriebe.de/luetgert-neu-en/products/elevat...

This sort of multilingual version of the same page by a manufacturer which actually makes a given piece of specialist kit is invaluable, and in the absence of anything even more probative, pretty conclusive IMHO.

NB since we have "tambour" in the French we might marginally prefer the English term with "drum" in it.
