English term or phrase: along and off
I need to know the meaning of the phrase "along and off" in the following contexts. It's in the description of the location of a place in a tour guide. The street mentioned is not in straight line; it makes a bend, as you can see in this map: https://goo.gl/maps/kohXgY7Ff2Ccm8AM8. Could that be the meaning?

Jammed with traffic and jostled by decrepit industrial buildings, it's hardly enticing, but there are two reasons to venture out here. The first is the bus station on the right; the second — on the left just along and off Gibb Street — is the arts complex that occupies The Custard Factory, a handsome, homely affair set around a friendly little courtyard.

along Gibb street and further away from Gibb street
Explanation:
It has nothing to do with the bend on Gibb street.
It is an arts complex that includes more than one building. Some buildings are along Gibb street and some will lead you further away from Gibb street.

along and little away from Gibbs Street or adjacent to and slightly away from Gibbs Streets

Explanation:
When you say along Gibbs Street, it means along Gibbs Street or parallel to Gibbs Street and to express is exactly the communicator sounded a little away from Gibbs Street.

disagree  AllegroTrans: "along" means just that, not parallel to; your answer is confusing; your explanation "..and to express is exactly the communicator sounded a little away from Gibbs Street" is not English
