Inertia is the tendency of things in motion to saty in motion and things at rest to stay at rest.

1. Physics The tendency of a body to resist acceleration; the tendency of a body at rest to remain at rest or of a body in straight line motion to stay in motion in a straight line unless acted on by an outside force.
2. Resistance or disinclination to motion, action, or change:

mispelling of "inertia" perhaps?
Considering that the field is engineering, this seems a likely possibility. See if it fits your context:

Interior / dAkhel
This appears to me to be "interior" instead which makes perfect sense given the context. If so, one corresponding term could be "dAkhel", it's the inside of something. The inner part as opposed to the outer part. HTH.
