• Mooring Master will inform Mooring Crew to approach the edge of the Crane Deck and
Ro-Ro Deck to retrieve receiving lines for Bollards.
• With Barge held in place, Barge Master and Barge Engine Master will board the Barge
and hand off Bollard Receiving lines to onshore Mooring Crew.
• Mooring Crew shall heave Bollard receiving lines to Port and Starboard Bollards and
secure Bollard Lines to Bollards, informing Mooring Master that Bollard Lines are
secure.
• Once Bollard Lines are secure, Barge Engine Master shall activate Barge winches until
maximum 10 ton tension on Bollards is registered and secure Barge winches in locked
position. (Bollard pull strength 20 ton)
• Barge Master shall inform Mooring Master that Bollards are secure.
• Mooring Master shall inform Pusher Tug Pilot to lay Bow and Stern Anchors and secure
position – Full, full stop on engines.
• Pull Tug will take up position on Aft Port Side of Barge in Access Channel and lay
anchors – Full, full stop on engines.
• Mooring Master will confirm all positions secure and switch off Amber Flashing Mooring
Lights.
• Mooring Master will sound Mooring Siren once to indicate Mooring Operations are
complete.
• Mooring Master will notify Jetty Location Security that Mooring Operations are complete
and access can resume to normal operations.
