NCr female athymic nude (nu/nu) mice, 4-8 weeks old, were implanted subcutaneously with different human cancer cell lines representing 6 cancer types: non-small cell lung, colorectal, pancreatic, squamous cell lung, gastric and TNBC cancers.
Tumors ranged in size between 0.10 to 0.47 cm3 when therapy began.
SG therapy produced significant antitumor effects in mice bearing all these different tumor types.
In all studies, SG was well tolerated by the mice as monitored by change in body weight.
Trop-2 Expression Levels, *HRR Proficiency* and SG Efficacy
It was demonstrated preclinically that HRR of SN-38-mediated DNA damage plays an important role in the sensitivity of TNBC cells to SG with low and high Trop-2 expression (Cardillo TM et al., 2020).
