English term

Halothane negative boar

English to Polish Science Genetics Pork production
Tłumaczone z niemieckiego na angielski, mam bardzo silne przeczucie, że to MT po obróbce (choć uwaga ta niekoniecznie dotyczy terminu, o który pytam).

Dotyczy programu, w ramach którego firma dąży do podniesienia jakości wieprzowiny i wyrobów mięsnych przy użyciu metod genetycznych i optymalizacji procesów.

(...) “The results were very deflating and the first emergency meetings took place” reports Mr Schmidt. In the following the various stages came together to improve several things. F. e. only Halothane negative Piètrain-boars should be taken as fathers for the end products.

(...) The XXXXX firm does not only require the input of Halothane negative boars. Ongoing selections within the group of the NN and NP-boar shall take place.

(...) By mans of this gen marker selection we are in the position to reduce again the variance within the group of Halothane negative boars and further on improve the average meat quality” secures Inken... .

(...) The meat amount could be held on a high level despite more input of Halothane negative end product boars.

knur niewrażliwy na halotan [homozygota NN]

Increased use of extremely lean, heavily muscled genotypes for terminal market hog production has resulted in increased concern about quality problems in pork products. [...]Pale, soft, exudative (PSE) pork is a general term used to describe these pork quality problems. [...]
One genetic cause of PSE pork is associated with the presence of the halothane (HAL) gene, so named because pigs that carried two copies of the gene (called homozygous carriers or nn) were discovered to undergo physiological stress and die when exposed to halothane anesthesia. However, it has been shown that pigs carrying one copy of the HAL gene (called heterozygous carriers or Nn) tend to produce leaner carcasses but more PSE pork than HAL gene free pigs (called homozygous negative or NN).
