now has more meanings.
1)dabar; tuojau; tuoj pat (I'm coming now - tuoj ateisiu; tuoj pat ateisiu)
2)tada, tuo laiku=at that time (in a story), e.g. it was now clear that... tada tapo aišku, kad...
3)just/but now - ką tik
4)now and again/then (sometimes) - kartais, retkarčiais
5)now hot, now cold - tai karšta, tai šalta
etc.etc.
But in the meaning of "at present, at the moment" dabar is appropriate
