Νομίζω πως είναι σημαντικός δείκτης αυτής της ερμηνείας η αντωνυμία "their", που φαίνεται να διαχωρίζει σαφώς, ως δύο αλληλοσυμπληρούμενες οντότητες, αφ΄ενός τις χημικές ουσιες (agents), αφ΄ετέρου το hardware, αν θέλετε, χρήσης/εκτόξευσής τους (their weapons of employment).

Υπάρχει επίσης ο όρος "agents and their associated weapons and delivery systems", που φαίνεται να υποστηρίζει τον εννοιολογικό και πρακτικό διαχωρισμό. (http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/smart/hdbtdc.htm)
