ranelate στροντίου Explanation: Ranelate doesn't appear anywhere in Greek texts. I think you'd better leave it as is. However, I found "Alendronate" which is translated as "ουσία alendronate". It is also a drug used to fight osteoporosis in women over 50. As for strontium (στρόντιο) it is a metal element, the radioisotopes of which are used in medical applications. Ranelate Strodiou or Raneliko oxy (Ranelic acid) Explanation: Strodium Ranelate or Ranelic Acid is a strodium salt that is a recently developed anti-osteoporosis drug. Strodium seems to have beneficial effects in osteoporosis and can be easily absorbed from the human organism in this particular formation of strodium ranelate. Look for article: Bone Vol.28, No.4, April 2001:446-453, Incorporation and Distribution of Strodium in Bone Some of the authors are Greek, so you can mail them for further assistance. I also found info about this drug in the following website. It is a PDF file so you will need the ACROBAT programme to read it. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2002-05-28 11:02:58 (GMT) -------------------------------------------------- I hope that the above information can make it a bit clearer :) Reference: http://www.ashley-pub.com/PDFs/ed_rev511.pdf |
