Pneumatic boot είναι το αλεξίπτωτο στο πίσω μέρος του αεροπλάνου που επιβραδύνει την κίνηση κατά την προσγείωση.

“Turboprop airplanes and general aviation planes that don’t have enough hot air to use anti-icing techniques use a pneumatic boot that is like a balloon attached to the leading edges of the aircraft. The pilot inflates it to break up any ice that has formed on the surface. ΟΚ, αν λέει boots εννοεί το κάλυμμα, το στρώμα. Χιτώνια, λέει ο Κώστας. Αυτά είναι αν μιλάμε για de-icing.
