English term

MER

English to French Bus/Financial
I am working on a financial article dealing with mutual funds (Guardian Mutual Funds, Canada). In one of the tables, where the returns are provided per year on a $50,000.00 initial investment, one of the rows is entitled MER followed by a number:

GGF Growth Equity
Front load
MER 2.19

I have no idea what this is: an abbreviation or other? Can anyone help me out? Thank you in advance.

RFG (Ratio des frais de gestion)

MER = Management expense ratio

Voici l'explication donnée par le glossaire de Phillips, Hager & North Investment Management Ltd.: Management Expenses : The total sum of the management fee, custodial services, brokerage commissions and accounting/audit fees charged to the fund. It is usually expressed as a ratio of the total fees to the value of the fund, called the Management Expense Ratio (MER). MER reflects the total cost of managing the fund.
