Dear Mrs. Monika,
It is supposed that Chechire cat is an imbred of domestic cat, however what is true is the following fact: you can find the grinning cat term in "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland"; when leaving Alice's view disappeared so gradually that the grin was the last part to vanish;suggested author Lewis Caroll, by saying "TO GRIN LIKE A CHECHIRE CAT", a saying of origin.
My translation like "qeshja" properly correspond to English, because the word
"grin" means "to smile broadly". Hence
the word "buzeqeshja", fits too, but seems as a second option.
Best regards,
SCOALB

Comment: "Dear SCOALB,
Thank you for responding to this question. I actually have translated it as "si buzagazi i një mace Çeshire." (This was about five months ago, I wish you were a ProZ member at that time so you could have helped me then.) Nevertheless, I look forward to your help again. Thank you,
Monika"
