deep sgraffito (pattern/decorations)

Explanation:
剔花 is a traditional Chinese etching technique, but it's on the glaze, not on the pottery itself. The English term for it is "Sgraffito".

Sgraffito: Style of decoration where a pattern is etched through a slip or a glaze while it is still wet to make use of the color of the layer below as the color of the lines in the etched decoration. The potters at the Cizhou kilns used a number of variations of this technique in the Song and Yuan dynasties. During Qing dynasty some imperial wares were made with the background enamel colors etched through to show the white porcelain body in the lines.
